Overview

Adapted with permission from Kiraidi's Tier List

Marchosias is a tricky form of defensive support+tank due to half of his skills requiring his allies to be behind him, making him a natural, if not the only mandatory frontliner of your party. LB2 needs him to get hit, which is encouraged since he has the good Tenacity damage reduction and on top of this he applies Curse basically always and has LB3 almost on demand through moving. All of that will make for some serious damage reduction for your party if pulled off properly. Don't overextend his tankiness though, he can be overwhelmed by too many hits and his Charge is scarcely usable with ho-hum effects. It’s heavily recommended to slot him with Ranged or Mage characters and/or characters that can help his damage to make him more solid.

Highlights

Adapted with permission from Kiraidi's Tier List

Class: Tank, Defensive Support

Gameplay role:

Pros

+ Default Curse through attacking, being a great damage-reduction ailment.

+ LB2 and LB3 both have similar ranges and both apply different defensive buffs, though the difference is LB2 requires getting hit while LB3 has shorter duration and is move-reliant.

+ With all the above points, he has a total of 3 damage-reduction skills, something barely anyone else can boast and in turn making him an exceedingly formidable backline protector.

+ Standard Tenacity on demand, making him more durable.

Cons

- The tricky part about LB2 and LB3 is that it’s to everyone behind him, this might limit viability compared to other characters as well as party compositions.

- Charge isn’t worth noting since he’s nowhere near offensive and Burn is not a good ailment (though it can help Zabaniya).
