"I'm Bathym-sama! Are you all fired up? Good to meetcha, Master-chan!"

A member of the Ikebukuro Berserkers, who came from the Gehenna gate. Bathym is both a born warrior and a born entertainer, favoring Capoeira for its flashy, dance-like movements. He frequently participates in the guild's underground fighting tournaments, where his crowd-pleasing personality, agility and showmanship make him a popular audience attraction. Bathym dislikes those who take themselves too seriously, and has a natural compatibility with fellow performers.

His magnificent tail, always waving like a black flame and with eyes and a will all its own, is his sacred treasure. It fights as if a teammate rather than part of Bathym's body, and opponents who allow themselves to be distracted attempting to avoid it often find themselves on the receiving end of Bathym's powerful kicks instead. Though many take him for a foolish, arrogant brute, Bathym is quite intelligent; particularly in the subjects of medical plants and jewelry, and he enjoys intellectual conversations about his pet subjects.

In chapter 3 of the main story, Bathym becomes fast friends with the hero and supports them in battling through the ranks. When asked about his tail, he informs the hero it is actually possessed by a demon to which he sold his soul. Should the hero express concern over what will happen to Bathym or why he would do such a thing, however, he quickly steers the conversation in a brighter direction, making it clear he doesn't want to talk about it.

Notes

Bathym's love for jewelry and herbology are shared by his basis in the Ars Goetia, a Great Duke of hell.

While most characters in the game adjust the honorific used to address the player by their chosen gender, Bathym uses -chan for Male, Female and Other alike.
