"A Transient originally born in the world of Eden, but cast down to Gehenna, Behemoth is known as the great beast of the earth. While he is fearsome at first glance, behind his terrifying exterior, he is actually extremely kind and thoughtful. Arriving in Tokyo introduced him to a wide variety of vibrant scents and flavors, and he has been entranced by them ever since. The inside of his mouth is actually his Sacred Artifact: a Maw, which converts anything that he eats to energy in order to help him fulfill his Role as a Sacrifice made to a Pairidaeza. As he is used to a solitary life, he has little concept of relying upon others or being relied upon. He is a little embarrassed about his lack of restraint when it comes to food, so he greatly admires others who can match his appetite but are capable of better controlling themselves."

異世界エデンに生まれ、ゲヘナへと落とされた「転光生」。大地の巨獣。見た目ほどの凶暴性は無く、基本的には温厚で人当たりのいい性格をしている。元々は草食だったが、「転光生」として訪れた東京で刺激的な匂いや味に出会い、それらの虜になった。「壁に囲まれた場所」へ捧げられる「生贄」としての「役割」をやがて果たすため、あらゆるものを「変換」する口腔の「神器」を持つ。かつては1人で生きていたため、誰かに迷惑をかけることも、世話されていることも、認識していなかった。食事時の自分の見境の無さには思う所があり、同じ大喰らいでありながら、それを制御出来ているように見える相手に対し憧れを抱く。

「神器」を差し引いても異常なまでの大食らいであり、その姿は暴食の化身そのもの。大地にあるものを喰らう為だけに生き、果てに訪れる終末ではその身を捧げ食物とする「役割」を持つ。自身の食欲に忠実で、いずれ共に捧げられる大海の巨獣と大空の巨鳥に対しての執着よりも尚、食い気が勝る。本人は心ゆくまで食べているというよりも、「食べること」だけを与えられていた生活習慣に従っているだけ。食べ過ぎによる体型の変化も、食への執着の前には当人にとって些末な問題らしい。そして、彼にとって「自分が誰への供物であるか」も重要な問題ではない。大海の巨獣を思わせる姿に対して、無条件の共感を持つ。
