Tanngrisnir curiously or coincidentally shares the motif of a very specific way of doing things along with the 2018 christmas units. In his case it’s the fact he’s obligated to move around if he wants to be useful, but thankfully delivers thanks to CP and defensive buffs for him and his allies, a very welcome trait for most parties. He tends to reach his Charge rather quickly, allowing his movement buff to make the most out of him and temporarily turn him into the best positioner in-game, him being inherently immune to any anti-moving effects really helps. Sadly, his shortcomings are also heavily prominent, the lack of healing on his LB3 or any of his skills and the fact he drains his own HP by doing what he’s supposed to do will prove quite hindering if you don’t have a way to get around it, Guts and Evasion can only do so much to help him last through the match and his offensive capabilities are mediocre at best, so he’ll need his allies to take care of that. Overall a modest, hardworking unit.

Class: Defensive Support

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Guts on demand by moving, granting repeated KO insurances which he’ll really need.

+ LB1 helps push considerable CP to his allies all around, with LB2 applying such to him.

+ LB3 is great to improve his and his allies’ endurance, with the added boon and off-chance to double-up with Protection.

+ Charge lets him take a hit when necessary and grants him a buff that temporarily makes him arguably the best positioner thus far.

Cons

- An absolute move-oriented playstyle which must be approached if you want to use him in any way.

- Due to his very constant HP loss, his durability only goes so far and only has Guts to persist if you don’t find a way to outdo it through healing effects.

- Inherently purely defensive, his allies will have to take care of damaging foes due to this.
