Perhaps, for that reason, they seek those of strong influence to support their minds. Their Talisman, the Sacred Artifact typically attached to their foreheads, functions as a makeshift substitute for the souls they are missing, which in turn allows them to control their actions. Should they be separated from their Talismans, however, the results might not be pretty."
